Expensive Taste?  Japan boasts wonderful fruit, namely melons, hand turned every few minutes and cut with horns.  They run upwards of $150.00.

Our Day Trip to Tokyo.  Annie and Trinity were both excellent little troopers, as we braved the biting wind and cold to tour downtown Tokyo with our fearless guide and hostess, Mieko Terashita.  Mieko is an old family friend of the Iversons and she kindly showed us around Ginza, Shibuya, Harajuku, and then later, dinner at a brewery and desert in a French Cafe at Ikspiari--Tokyo-Disney.  Annie enjoyed her sling and toured Tokyo compliments of Mommy, Daddy and Aunt Mary Stuart!

Obachan is grandma in Japanese, and cousin Noa named Carol "Ba-Ba" for short...Here, Annie stares up at BaBa, the baby whisperer.

For those of you that missed it...on January 13th, Anne Oliver was baptized as a child of the covenant along side a potential suitor, Hutchinson Garmany, the son of good friends of ours from seminary and Church.

"We're goin' to Nojiri Laaaake": Some shots of our trip to Nojiriko.  We left early in the morning for Nojiri Lake, and arrived to a silent, frozen  village that felt like another world.   The Iverson cabin was  freezing and we scurried in to warm it up for the babies.  For three days we played in the snow, skied, snowboarded, had one of the most intense snowball fights in history, bathed in the onsen--my favorite Japanese experience--took pictures, ate yaki soba, had family worship, and played games together.  It was sad to leave, but beautiful to see the place where Jonathan and his family spent so many precious vacations together.
